National University Declares 2nd Year In-Course Examination Schedule for Degree (Pass) and Certificate Courses, 2024 Session

The National University of Bangladesh has officially released details about the upcoming second-year in-course examinations for students enrolled in the Degree (Pass) and Certificate programmes under the 2024 academic session. The university has finalized the schedule and shared clear guidelines to ensure every affiliated college conducts the exams within a uniform structure.

📅 Exam Timeline Announced

According to the announcement, the in-course tests will take place in two separate phases:

First phase: From 12 October 2025 to 23 October 2025
Second phase: From 16 November 2025 to 27 November 2025

Colleges across the country will conduct the exams during these periods under their own management, following the rules and academic procedures set by the National University.

📘 Marking and Evaluation Rules

The university has introduced a transparent method for distributing marks and assessing student performance:

For regular students:
- Up to 15% marks will be awarded based on in-course performance.
- 5% marks will depend on class attendance and participation.
For private students:
- Assessment will be made within 20% of the total marks.

Teachers assigned to each course will evaluate the answer scripts directly. Colleges are required to input marks and course codes into the university’s system within the period announced officially. Once uploaded, no correction can be made to the submitted data, so accuracy is essential.

🧾 Submission and Documentation Process

After completing the evaluation, each college must prepare sealed packets containing the evaluated answer scripts, attendance sheets, and in-course mark sheets.
These packets must be submitted by hand to the respective Regional Centre or the Gazipur campus.

Each packet should be clearly labeled in red ink with the title:

“Degree (Pass) and Certificate Course 2nd Year In-Course Examination 2024.”

The final deadline for submission has been set for 09 December 2025. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.

The National University has made it clear that students cannot fill out their final exam forms unless both their in-course marks and attendance records are properly submitted.
For this reason, students are strongly encouraged to attend classes regularly and participate in both phases of the in-course tests to secure their eligibility for the upcoming final examination.
